Daniel Stashower is the New York Times bestselling author of The Hour of Peril: The Secret Plot to Murder Lincoln Before the Civil War. He is an acclaimed biographer and narrative historian and three-time winner of the Edgar. Stashower is also the recipient of the Agatha and Anthony awards, and the Raymond Chandler Fulbright Fellowship in Detective Fiction.
